PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Lind Field Day will be June 12 at the university’s Dryland Research Station north of Lind.
WSU and U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service scientists will discuss research progress on long-term dryland and irrigated cropping systems studies; spring wheat breeding; winter wheat breeding; on-farm testing; and diseases of wheat, barley and canola.
Lind Field Day is free and open to the public Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the tour at 9 a.m. A no-host lunch and program will begin at noon and includes brief reports on the WSU College of Agriculture and Home Economics, the Washington Association of Wheat Growers, the Washington Wheat Commission, wheat quality, and Vogel chair research priorities. An ice cream social hosted by the WSU Alumni Development Office will follow.
