PULLMAN, Wash. — “National Security, International Relations and U.S. Military Planning and Performance: Lessons-to-Date from Iraq” is the topic of a forum Thursday, April 10, at Washington State University.
The 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. program, planned for the Compton Union Building’s Clevenger Lounge, will feature Thomas Preston, a WSU political science faculty member, and Rand Lewis, director of the University of Idaho’s Martin Institute.
The speakers will discuss the challenges for the United States in post-war Iraq and the implications of the war in Iraq for the United States and the region. Also before the speakers is the question: Does the war demonstrate that the U.S. military is dominant throughout the world?
The College of Liberal Arts, Student Affairs and Provost’s Office at WSU are sponsors of the program, the third in the spring series called “America at War.”
