Jesse Aspuria Elected ASWSU President

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Associated Students of Washington State University has elected Tacoma native Jesse Aspuria as its new president.


Aspuria, 22, is a senior studying hospitality and business management. His running mate, Lars Johnson, 21, will serve as vice president. A Bellevue native, Johnson is senior studying communication and accounting.

During the election campaign, the pair promised to bring approachability and excitement to the student government and create a special commission to stay in touch with all organizations across the campus.

Aspuria replaces Scott Dickinson who graduates this spring.
