Forum on Iraq Offers Historical Perspectives

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University faculty members will present a noon discussion, “Why Europe Opposes America’s Policy on Iraq,” March 6 in the Compton Union Building’s Clevenger Lounge.

Noriko Kawamura, a professor of U.S. Foreign Relations, will moderate the public forum, while WSU faculty members lend historical perspective to the opposition some European countries have to a war with Iraq. Participants include Steve Kale on France’s view; Ray Sun on Germany; and Brigit Farley on Russia.

The public forum is sponsored by the Department of History, Office of the Provost, Student Affairs and the College of Liberal Arts.
