Reception to Honor WSU Freshman Scholars

PULLMAN, Wash. — The annual Washington State University Freshman Scholars Reception is set for 6-7:15 p.m. March 3 at Lewis Alumni Centre.

The event will recognize freshman students who earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average for their first semester at WSU.

“This year, more than 550 freshman were eligible to attend the reception, ” said Emily Hyland, Mortar Board president. “The program’s goal is to congratulate freshmen who did so well during their first semester at college.”

The reception is co-sponsored by the WSU Parent’s Program and the WSU chapter of Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. University President V. Lane Rawlins and other university faculty will attend the event. The scholars will receive certificates for their achievement.
