WSU Health and Wellness Services to Give Personal Trainer Workshop

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Health and Wellness Services Wellness Program will offer a personal trainer workshop series from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 1 and June 15, in the Pullman Memorial Hospital Multipurpose Room.

The workshops, which will cover topics such as exercise physiology, client screening and evaluation and exercise prescription, are designed to help improve participating personal trainer exam results through a variety of lectures, group discussions and practical experience.

“The program provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to prepare for personal training certification held in late summer,” said Tim Freson, HWS Wellness Programs’ Fitness Coordinator.

The cost to attend the workshop is $65 (this does not include the textbook and registration for certification exams through national organizations). To register call HWS Wellness Programs at (509) 335-5759. The registration deadline for the workshop series is May 31.
