Cohen Assumes WSU Administrative Duties

PULLMAN, Wash. — Lawrence J. Cohen is the new chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Practice for the Washington State University College of Pharmacy.

Cohen begins his new position May 1, and has his office in the Health Sciences Building at WSU Spokane.

Cohen was most recently a professor of clinical pharmacy, psychiatry and medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is board-certified in psychiatric pharmacy.

The new administrator has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Los Angeles and in 1978, he obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UCLA. In 1979, he did a post-doctoral residency in psychiatric pharmacy at the UCLA/USC Medical Center.
