PULLMAN, Wash. — Reaction to the creation of Cougar Pride Days, March 28-April 5, has been extremely positive, according to leaders of the event, Ev Davis, WSU Facilities Operations director, and Brock Howell, a member of the university’s Student Alumni Connection.
The event will include campus beautification and cleanup projects taken on by students, faculty and staff. The University’s 112th birthday and faculty and staff recognitions are also included.
A change has been made in the “main day” during the four — April 1, 2, 3, and 4 — in which the clean-up projects will take place. April 2 is the new “main day,” because April 4, the day previously announced conflicted with the Faculty Honors Convocation.
In mid-February, a Web page for Cougar Pride Days will be posted at the WSU Web site. It will provide information about event activities and tell how to sign up for work projects.
Davis says each university vice president’s area and each college has a Cougar Pride Days primary point of contact and each building will have a building captain to coordinate efforts within their respective areas/colleges/buildings. Their names and means of contacting them will be posted at the Web site.
