Public Input Sought for WSU Education Accreditation

PULLMAN, Wash. — Examiners from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education are coming to Washington State University’s College of Education in April 2002 to review the college’s professional educator preparation program.

The examiners are requesting input from the public regarding the quality of the preparation program, said the college’s associate dean, Dennis Warner, who is coordinating the review program at the college. The purpose of the accreditation review is to ensure the college maintains the highest educational standards, Warner said.

The public may submit written comments to the Board of Examiners, c/o NCATE, 2010 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Suite 500, Washington, D.C., 20036-1023. Comments may be e-mailed as well to ncate@ncate.org.
