WSU Museum of Art Presents Art Workshop for Grades 6-12 Oct. 13

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Museum of Art presents “Mirror, Mirror on the Wall,” a workshop for middle and high school students to create art, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 13, in the WSU Fine Arts Center.

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition “The Raw and the Cooked,” the free workshop offers an opportunity for students to create fun and functional art. Students will work with artist Lina Quock, museum education coordinator, to create a mirror sculpture using a combination of materials provided by the museum and embellishments brought from home such as old jewelry, beads and shells.

A morning session for middle school students will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The high school session is planned for 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants should bring various small-size embellishments from home.
