BeatleMania Hits WSU May 8

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Beatles never came to the Palouse, but a faux Fab Four will be at Washington State University’s Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum May 8 to entertain with an act featuring music and costumes reflecting the leaders of rock’s British Invasion.

BeatleMania’s concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and can be ordered by calling the Beasley ticket box office, 1-800-325-SEAT.

The concert will open with “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Eight Days a Week,” “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.” Then, dressed in the psychedelic costumes of 1967, the group will perform “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Let It Be,” “Hey Jude” and “Get Back.”

The show “captures the original sounds of the Beatles and uses stage choreography and authentic costumes and musical gear to re-create the thrill of a Beatles concert,” publicists say.

The cast includes Mike Twigg as drummer Ringo Starr, Alan LeBoeuf as Paul McCartney, Shaun Friedrichs as John Lennon and Shawn Bryant as George Harrison.
