WSU Veterinary College Invites Public to Open House

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine will hold its annual spring open house from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 21.

Teddy bear surgery, dressing like a surgeon and hands-on basic home pet care are some activities planned for the whole family.

Butch the Cougar will stop by from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to “receive treatment” and greet children. Demonstrations by veterinary students and guided tours of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital will be conducted throughout the day. Visitors are instructed to follow signs to the teaching hospital and enter through the east side into the large animal breezeway.

College of Veterinary Medicine and other unique animal theme merchandise will be available for purchase from a number of student organizations.
