PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University student vocalist Julie
Silvera-Jensen will present her senior recital of works by Rossini, Bizet, Literes
and Burliegh on March 21.
The 8 p.m. program is planned for Pullman’s St. James Episcopal Church, 1410
N.E. Stadium Way, and is open to the public without charge. A reception
follows the recital.
Silvera-Jensen is a recent winner at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival for best
female vocalist (alto). She also was featured in the recent WSU production of
“for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow was not
enuf.” She also played the role of Mrs. Lovett in the university production of
“Sweeney Todd.”
The vocalist has studied with WSU faculty member Julie Wieck for the last
three years.
