PULLMAN, Wash. — “Window on the Roman Past: Art, Research and the
History of Women,” is the topic of an Art a la Carte series presentation on the
Washington State University campus Thursday, March 2.
The presentation is set for 12:10 p.m. in the Compton Union Building, Cascade
Room 123.
Kathryn Evers Meyer and Mary Jane Engh will illustrate how art has served as
a research tool for their current project, “Femina Habilis,” a biographical
dictionary of active women in the ancient Roman world.
Meyer is a WSU faculty member in history. Engh is an independent scholar,
science fiction writer and researcher.
