PULLMAN, Wash. — The Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship Program’s fall session
begins its six-week-long classes Oct. 27.
PATH, for people with physical, mental or emotional challenges, organizes the one-hour
classes each Wednesday at the Rocking Horse Ranch indoor arena on the Old Moscow-Pullman
Road.
The program is part of the university’s People-Pet Partnership and is designed to provide
recreational, therapeutic horseback riding for people with various challenges. Program fee is $180
per rider and should be paid before the session starts. Scholarships from the United Cerebral
Palsy of Washington are available for people with cerebral palsy.
Those interested in the program should contact Francois Martin, at 509/335-4569. Only eight
openings are available and applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Volunteers also are needed to help with the PATH riding program. A mandatory volunteers’
meeting is set for 5:30-7 p.m. Oct. 20 in Bustad Hall, Room 145. No experience is needed. For more
