WSU President’s Annual Address Wednesday

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University President Samuel Smith will give his
annual State of the University address at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Compton Union
Building ballroom. Members of the public are invited to attend.
Smith is expected to look at the university’s progress in key areas, discuss priorities and
issues for the current year, and offer a look at WSU in the context of national higher education
trends.
The address will be televised via closed circuit at the branch campuses and aired live on
Cable 8 in Pullman. It also can be viewed live via the Internet for those with RealPlayer. A link to
the streaming video will be posted on the WSU home page. RealPlayer software may be
downloaded from the Internet at .
Cable 8 will replay the address at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening. It will air again on
KWSU Presents on channel 10 at 9 p.m. Oct. 7, and at noon Oct. 10, on channels 10 and 31.
Smith’s remarks also will be published in the Sept. 17 WSU Week. Videotapes of the address
may be obtained through the WSU President’s Office.
