College of Education Announces Awards

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University College of Education will honor four
faculty and one staff member for excellence at the annual year-end all-college meeting on May 7.
Arreed Barabasz, professor of counseling psychology in the Department of Educational
Leadership and Counseling Psychology, will receive the Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching.
Forrest Parkay, professor of educational leadership in the Department of Educational
Leadership and Counseling Psychology, will receive the Faculty Excellence Award for Research.
Darcy Miller, associate professor and chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, will
receive the Faculty Excellence Award for Service.
Sue Durrant, associate professor of sport management in the Department of Educational
Leadership and Counseling Psychology, will receive the Education Faculty Meritorious Award.
Stacy Mohondro, administrative assistant to the dean, will receive the Staff Excellence
Award.
