WSU Hosts WTC Tour Nov. 10

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington Technology Center is hosting a tour of Washington State University research laboratories for business executives and others involved in economic development on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
WTC is the state agency responsible for facilitating and funding industry-university interaction. Its objective is commercialization of products or concepts in advanced materials and manufacturing, biotechnology and biomedical instrumentation, microelectronics and computer systems/human interface technology.
Tours of facilities at the Institute of Biological Chemistry, College of Veterinary Medicine, and bioanalysis and biotechnology laboratories are scheduled beginning at 10 a.m.
Meetings with scientists are planned in the afternoon for the 14 business representatives and visitors, including 10 from biotech companies, who will be taking part in the WTC tour.
WTC is governed by a board of directors, appointed by the governor, that represents private industry and academic institutions.
