PULLMAN Wash. — The Washington State University Cougar Marching Band will perform at the Veterans’s Day Marching Band Festival in Auburn on Saturday, Nov. 7, and at a Seahawks game on Sunday, Nov. 8.
The 187-member Cougar Marching Band will be the exhibition band at the Auburn festival. It will lead a parade through downtown Auburn at 11 a.m. and give the closing presentation at the evening program. The annual Auburn festival this year features 24 bands from around the Northwest and is sponsored by the Auburn High School Band Parents association.
The Cougar band will perform both a pregame show and a halftime show at the Seattle Seahawks/Kansas City Chiefs football game on Sunday afternoon. The appearance is in response to an invitation from the team, whose owner is Paul Allen, a WSU alumnus and co-founder of Microsoft and owner of Assymetrix. The regular season game will be played at the King Dome in Seattle. Kick off is at 1:15 p.m.
