Faculty Chamber Music Concert on Sept. 29

PULLMAN, Wash. — Several Washington State University faculty members will be featured in a concert Sept. 29 at WSU’s Bryan Hall Auditorium.
The 8 p.m. program is open to the public without charge.
The concert opens with composer Ingolf Dahl’s piece, “Allegro and Arioso for Five Wind Instruments,” performed by the Solstice Quintet. Quintet members include Ann Yasinitsky, flute; James Schoepflin, clarinet; Gary Plowman, oboe; Susan Hess, bassoon; and Roger Logan, horn.
Also on the program will be Kirk Mechem’s “To An Absent Love,” sung by soprano Julie Anne Wieck. Faculty accompanists are Schoepflin, clarinet; Logan, horn; and Susan Chan, piano.
The final piece for the evening will be Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Piano Trio No. 8 in G Major, Op. 121a,” performed by Meredith Arksey, violin; Christopher von Baeyer, violoncello; and Gerald Berthiaume, piano.
