Open House Planned for WSU Units

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Women’s Resource Center and Women’s Studies Program at Washington State University will host their annual open house Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 3:30-5 p.m. in Wilson Hall, Rooms 8 and 10.
The open house provides the opportunity to welcome new faculty and staff to WSU, as well as showcase programs and services provided by the two units.
WRC is a unit within WSU Human Relations and Resources. The center coordinates programs with the Women’s Studies Program, an academic department in the College of Liberal Arts. WRC staff maintain a resource library available to students within the program. It also coordinates the Women’s Transit Program through which students who are volunteer drivers or dispatchers can receive credit in the Women’s Studies Program.
WRC staff advises the Coalition for Women Students, an umbrella organization for seven student groups: Association of Pacific and Asian Women; Black Women’s Caucus; Native American Women’s Association; Mujeres Unidas; YWCA of WSU; Committee on Women in Math, Science and Engineering; and Women’s Transit. The Mom’s Weekend Committee also is advised by WRC staff.
