PULLMAN, Wash. — The second of three candidates for the Washington State University College of Education dean position begins a two-day campus visit Tuesday (April 28) to meet with college and university representatives and present a public seminar.
Greg Weisenstein, dean of the School of Education at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, will present a public talk on his vision for WSU’s College of Education from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday (April 29), at Murrow Hall, Room 55. It also will be broadcast to WSU Spokane B107, WSU Tri-Cities 210W and WSU Vancouver Classroom 116.
The third candidate, Judy Nichols Mitchell, interim executive director, Center for Excellence in Education, Northern Arizona University, will be on the Pullman campus May 5-6 for interviews. Her public talk is planned for 10:30-noon on May 5 in Murrow 55, with broadcasts to other WHETS locations.
Ernest Rose, dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Montana State University-Billings, interviewed earlier in the month.
Walt Gmelch has been serving as interim education dean since the resignation last year of Bernard Oliver.
