WSU Pet Health Fair Planned for Mom’s Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine will host the Pet Health Fair ’98 Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
The fair will include a wide range of interactive and informative activities for both children and adults. Hospital tours will be offered each hour. Emergency animal first aid information will be presented, pet behavioral issues will be addressed and a petting zoo complete with llamas, horses, goats, rabbits, cats and dogs is expected to be a highlight for visiting children.
Pet adoptions will also take place during the fair. The Humane Society of the Palouse, the Pullman Animal Shelter and the Spokane Humane Society are expected to bring up to 35 puppies, kittens, cats and dogs to the fair for potential on-site adoption. During the 1997 Pet Health Fair, about 25 animals were placed with families.
