PULLMAN, Wash. — Integrating teaching and technology will be the focus of a 2 1/2-day seminar offered March 16-18 by Washington State University’s Conferences and Institutes office, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Virtual WSU.
The Teaching with Technology Institute features Richard Hooker, an award-winning instructor and author of “Doing Things Without Words: Multimedia Rhetoric for Students and Teachers.”
The opening session on multimedia design will introduce participants to the fundamental skills of design and provide them with a CD of course instruction. Interactive learning on distributed systems will be explored in the second session. Introduction to architectural principles of visual and audio design will be presented in the third session, Multimedia Rhetoric, and participants will receive a CD about the subject. The final session, Teaching on Camera, deals with professional performance standards and creative presentation strategies.
