WSU, University of Idaho Sponsor March 4 Career Fair

PULLMAN, Wash. — The 1998 Summer Jobs and Internship Fair is set for noon-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in Washington State University’s Compton Union Building Ballroom.
The fair features more than 60 employers, including GTE Telephone Operations, Compucom Systems, Horizon Air and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Many of the companies attending the fair are recruiting students of diverse backgrounds in hopes of diversifying their businesses, according to Michelle Livingston, event coordinator.
“We encourage students who are looking for internships and/or summer jobs to bring copies of their resumes and attend the fair,” Livingston said. Several companies also are expected to have permanent openings for students who are graduating in May and August, 1998.
The WSU Offices of Multicultural Student Services and Career Services, along with the University of Idaho’s Cooperative Education and Office of Multicultural Affairs, are sponsoring the fair that is free to all WSU and UI students. Questions can be directed to WSU’s Career Services, 335-2546, or the UI Cooperative Education office, 208/885-5822.
