PULLMAN, Wash.–The Washington State University College of Education has hired four full-time, tenure-track faculty to begin the fall semester, including three members of minority groups: two Native Americans and one Hispanic/Puerto Rican.
Marisol Rodriguez-Rodriguez is bicultural and bilingual, originally from Puerto Rico. She received her doctorate in curriculum and instruction from The Pennsylvania State University in 1997. She will teach multicultural and bilingual education at WSU’s Tri-Cities campus.
Susan Rae Banks is a member of the Arapahoe Nation. She received her doctorate in special education from The Pennsylvania State University in 1997. She will teach special education on the Pullman campus.
Paulette Running Wolf is a member of the Blackfeet Nation. She is completing her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She will teach in the counseling psychology program on the Pullman campus.
Valarie Dickinson received her doctorate in science education from Oregon State University in 1997. She will teach math and science education at WSU’s
Tri-Cities campus.
