WSU Libraries will begin offering courses this month for those interested in learning more about two reference management systems, Zotero and EndNote.
Zotero is free, open-source reference management software for bibliographic data and related research materials, such as PDF files. EndNote is a commercial reference management software package, used to manage bibliographies and references when writing essays and articles.
Courses will be held on the following dates:
- Wednesday, Sept. 10, and Tuesday, Sept. 30: Zotero Refresher, 3-4 p.m., Terrell 105. For people already familiar with the software, the course covers Zotero with Microsoft Word, with mobile devices, Zotero tools and more. Bring your own laptop.
- Tuesday, Sept. 30: Zotero Beginner’s Workshop, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Terrell 105. Get a feel for the basics of Zotero.
- Wednesday, Oct. 29: EndNote Beginner’s Class, 10 a.m.-noon, Terrell 105. Ideal for people who have never used EndNote, but are interested in learning.
