The University Common Requirements (UCORE) Committee continues its Spring 2024 Lunch & Learn Information Literacy series. In this third session, we will host a WSU student panel on AI text generators on Feb. 28 in CUE 518 on the Pullman campus and via Zoom.
Kate Watts, Scholarly Professor in the Department of English and Director of Composition, will provide an overview of AI text generators as well as suggested pedagogical approaches for classroom inclusion. Then, four student panelists from across majors at WSU will share how they engage with AI. Finally, Writing Center Director Brooklyn Walter will share the Writing Program’s curated “Teaching with Writing in the AI Age.” We will then welcome dialogue amongst attendees.
Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. The final Lunch & Learn will focus on Information Literacy in CAPS courses and will be held on March 20 from 12:10–1:30 p.m. in CUE 518.
If you plan to attend, please register for the first workshop by noon on Feb. 26. Please feel free to reach out to ashley.boyd@wsu.edu if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Ashley Boyd
