WSU EECS Faculty Parteek Kumar recognized by NVIDIA DLI as Gold‑Tier Campus Ambassador

Washington State University continues to strengthen its leadership in artificial intelligence education as Parteek Kumar, associate professor (career track) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at WSU Pullman, has been recognized as a Gold-Tier NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Campus Ambassador for 2025.

This distinction places Kumar among a small group of global educators acknowledged by NVIDIA for exceptional impact in hands-on AI, data science, and accelerated computing education. According to NVIDIA’s year-end Ambassador Achievements report, Kumar delivered multiple certified DLI workshops, training hundreds of students and enabling a large number to earn NVIDIA professional certifications — among the highest outcomes for Gold-Tier ambassadors worldwide.

As a DLI Campus Ambassador, Kumar integrates NVIDIA-designed curricula into WSU courses, workshops, and independent studies, giving students early exposure to deep learning, AI agents, and multimodal machine learning. These experiences strengthen classroom learning while supporting internships, research opportunities, and career readiness.

The recognition aligns with WSU’s commitment to experiential learning and industry partnership. With continued collaboration between WSU and NVIDIA, Kumar plans to expand DLI offerings, mentor student-led AI projects, and support interdisciplinary AI applications across engineering.
