President’s Commission on the Status of Women – Upcoming membership drive!

The President’s Commission on the Status of Women’s membership application will open on March 18.

If you are interested in working to improve and celebrate the lives of women at WSU, the President’s Commission on the Status of Women will be seeking applications from all areas of the WSU community system-wide to fill open positions for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Commission is composed of faculty, administrative professionals, civil service employees, and students from all campuses who are charged with making policy recommendations directly to the President, gathering data, and monitoring emerging trends regarding matters affecting the lives of women in our WSU communities. The Commission also works in conjunction with other WSU organizations to sponsor and present events such as the Women of Distinction Recognition event and the Women’s Leadership Conference.

More information about this Presidential Commission can be found at https://president.wsu.edu/status-women/. The application period will open March 18. Inquiries about the CSW or the application process may be directed to Membership Coordinator, Claire Burbick, claire.burbick@wsu.edu or Chair, Lauren Wells, lauren.wells@wsu.edu.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience.
