Optional Zoom update introduces new interface

Zoom is releasing an update on Dec. 15 for application versions 6.7.0 and higher that introduces a redesigned interface across desktop, mobile, and web platforms.

This update is optional until February 2026, when it will become required as part of WSU’s quarterly Zoom version updates.

WSU faculty and staff who use Zoom may choose to update now or wait until the mandatory update in February.

The update will not remove core Zoom features or collaboration tools. It is available for the Zoom application on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS devices.

To learn more about expected changes, review Zoom’s release notes.
