ITS Maintenance: Palo Alto Global Protect VPN client upgrades

Information Technology Services will be upgrading the Global Protect virtual private network (VPN) clients on the schedule listed below.

  • Sun., Feb. 16, at 5 p.m.: Everett Border Firewall
  • Tues., Feb. 18, at 10 p.m.: Spokane Border Firewall
  • Thurs., Feb. 20, at 8 p.m.: Pullman Border Firewall

Any users who are logged into the VPN when the change is implemented may be disconnected and have to reconnect to the VPN. Otherwise, no outage is expected.

Users must upgrade the Global Protect VPN client if/when prompted. Some users may already be running a higher version than the firewall serves up and thus will not be prompted to upgrade.
