Join Us for Inspired to Act: Activism for Social Change (A Public Forum Conversation)

Martin Luther King, Jr. said on activism, “Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.” What does it mean to be an activist? Is activism necessary in our society to create social or political change? What can you do to create lasting change at WSU and in the world? In the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., join the Center for Civic Engagement to discuss the importance of activism and hear stories from WSU students about their experiences as activists.

Come to the WSU Center for Civic Engagement’s Public Forum Conversation on Thursday, Jan. 23 at noon in Butch’s Den (CUB L60) to engage with the panel as they discuss this topic.
