Human Research Protection Program – Updated forms available

Changes to the Federal Regulations for the Protection of Human Subjects in research (also known as the Revised Common Rule) are scheduled to take effect on January 21, 2019.  In order to comply with these revised Federal Regulations, the WSU Institutional Review Board Human Subjects Protection Program (IRB – HRPP) has posted updated Exemption Determination and Non-Exempt Applications on our website.

For human subjects research requesting an Exemption Determination, use the new form beginning January 8th.

For human subjects research applications for Expedited or Full-Board Review, use the new form now.

Consent, Assent, and Parental Permission templates are also updated and should be used for all submissions.

Forms are available on the IRB website at:  https://www.irb.wsu.edu/forms.asp.  If you have questions regarding the new forms, please contact the Human Research Protection Program staff at irb@wsu.edu or 509-335-7646.
