Travel Grant Competition Applications Due Sept. 15th

In celebration of the 2019 Research Week, the Innovation and Research Engagement Office (IREO) invites you to submit a proposal for a travel grant that will provide you with funding to visit key industry partners in order to communicate your innovative product/idea and its potential impact to the company.

Faculty, post-docs, research scientists, and graduate students are encouraged to participate in this competition.

Two teams or individuals will be awarded with a $2,500 travel grant and receive administrative support from IREO to initiate contact and develop strategic, industrial partnerships with desired companies. The funding will help supplement travels in CY 2020 to pursue sponsored research partnerships.

Applicants are required to submit a written proposal (Due Sept. 15, 5pm) and deliver a 3-minute presentation (Oct. 21, 10am). Awards will be judged based on the scale of the problem and perceived business value of the solution.

Awards will be announced October 24.
