The President’s Commission on GIESO is seeking applications for new members

The President’s Commission on Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation (GIESO) is seeking applications for new members.

The Commission advises the President on matters relating to the needs and concerns of the campus communities related to gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation. It also identifies and advocates for policies and services in support of these issues and informs campus communities about these policies and services.

We are looking for numerous new members in the following categories from all campuses: undergraduate students, staff/AP, faculty, community representatives, and At-Large positions (from any campus and can be student, staff, AP or Faculty).

The commission meets on all campuses twice per month during the school year (AY 2015-16 schedule TBD), using video conferencing to connect the various campus members.

Please review the GIESO website for more information about the commission and find the application at: http://president.wsu.edu/office/presidential-committees/gender-sexual-orientation.html

Applications and questions are to be sent to Dee Posey, Chair (deeposey@wsu.edu).

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
