Get outside and take an adventure with University Recreation this summer. During July the Outdoor Recreation Center will be leading several excursions across the region. They range from educational day clinics, to a rafting trip on the Salmon River.
- Sunset Paddle
End your day with a pleasant paddle atop the beautiful Snake River. On July 5, explore the river on a stand up paddle board. A week later, July 12, paddle the scenic Snake in a kayak.
- Pedal the Palouse Bikepacking Tour
Think you need a car to go camping? Think again. This trip will teach you how to outfit your bike to carry all the gear you need. Participants will take a bikepacking trip July 15 to Kamiak Butte before setting up camp for a night.
Whitewater Raft and Camp
Go on a guided rafting adventure through Class II and III rapids! The trip will begin with a drive to Lucile, Idaho July 28, and participants will spend the night camping by the river. The next day will be spent rafting down the Salmon River, while taking a break for lunch.
- Learn to Climb
Pick up a new hobby or refine your technique with the Learn to Climb trip July 30. Climbers of all skill levels will enjoy this adventure to scenic Post Falls, Idaho. There will be multiple places to climb and explore.
