Save the Date: MSU mentoring expert Beronda Montgomery addresses faculty/post-docs 9-18-19

Award-winning Michigan State University (MSU) researcher, teacher, and mentoring expert and advocate Beronda L. Montgomery will share insights into the importance and rewards of mentoring student researchers at two presentations Wed., Sept. 18.

Faculty and post-docs are invited to Montgomery’s presentations:

  • “Lighting the Way: Building Bridges to Access and Success” at 2:30 p.m. in the CUB Junior Ballroom, and
  • “Developing a Personal Philosophy and Plan for Impactful Mentoring,” at 3:30 p.m. in the CUB Junior Ballroom.

NOTE: Graduate students are invited to a concurrent session led by Laura Lavine, chair of the Dept. of Entomology, and Raymond Herrera, associate dean of the Graduate School and director of the McNair Scholars Program:

  • “Relationship Building through Mentoring to Achieve Academic Success,” also at 3:30 p.m. in the CUB’s Butch’s Den (Room L-60)

A light reception will follow all presentations at 5 p.m. in the CUB Junior Ballroom. The university community is invited.
