Top teams of WSU first-year and other students will deliver online presentations March 25 from 6-8 p.m. describing their plans for safe communities as part of an Adobe Creative Jam, said Cindy Williams, program director for the freshman seminar course UNIV 104.
The WSU community and the public are invited to observe online, with two ways to follow along:
- One is to log in to https://www.crowdcast.io/e/wsuspring2020
- The other is to pop into Facebook LIVE at https://facebook.com/adobecreativejam
“The topic of safe communities was selected by Adobe early in spring semester when the plan was for the top teams to deliver live presentations and compete for prizes from Adobe,” said Williams. “Now with our university going to online course delivery in light of COVID-19 precautions, we switched from live to online-only student presentations. The students made the adjustment easily, exemplifying that students have a real can-do Cougar attitude, I believe.”
Of around 125 participating students from nine course sections, the top ten teams were selected by Adobe hosts and judges, also working from a distance. WSU’s Creative Corridor handles the technological aspects of the presentations and is a partner with UNIV 104 on the overall project with Adobe. The WSU Adobe Creative Jam is the only such event sponsored by Adobe that takes place within a university course, said Williams.
