Research Skills Course for undergraduate students that want to get started in research, scholarship and creative activities

Undergraduate students from all majors who are interested in participating in research, scholarship and creative activities are encouraged to enroll in the Research Skills Course (UNIV 199) in Spring 2018. Students who are not yet working with faculty on research will learn about academic research, gain skills needed in any research environment, explore opportunities in all disciplines, and be prepared to start a research opportunity.

This is a 1-credit course. The majority of in-class time will be on Saturday, January 6, and Sunday, January 7, (the weekend before the Spring semester begins). There will be optional field trips during the first 2 weeks of the spring semester, and all course work will be completed before mid-semester. The course is fun, fast paced and led by undergraduate peer mentors.
