ITS Reminder: Zoom recordings auto-delete after one year

Information Technology Services (ITS) would like to remind all Zoom users that Zoom recordings stored in the cloud are automatically deleted after one year. With WSU’s Zoom instance nearing the completion of its first year, users who wish to keep personal copies of any recordings made in August and September 2019 should download such recordings for storage in their preferred location, such as their computer or OneDrive. Please remember to refer to WSU policy in order to follow official archiving and retention procedures.

ITS encourages users to routinely review their recordings at wsu.zoom.us, where users can also find information on when a recording was made and how many days remain until it is auto-deleted.

To learn more about how to manage Zoom recordings, visit: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/205347605-Managing-cloud-recordings

For technical assistance, please contact Crimson Service Desk via email at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu, by phone at (509) 335-4357, or visit them online at crimsonservicedesk.wsu.edu.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
