Reminder about reusing boxes for shipping

When using old boxes to ship items, please ensure that any old label, especially old hazardous labels, are removed or obliterated. Having a dangerous good label on a nondangerous good package can cause the package not to be shipped and could incur a fine starting at $75,000. A common forgotten label to remove is a label that states “ORM-D” or a Lithium Battery Label.

Please contact Ryan Schwager, Dangerous Good-Hazardous Material Shipping Specialist at 335-4462 if you have any questions or concerns.
