Laurie Quiring has been named Executive Director of the INTO WSU joint venture (JV). She will begin in her new role on May 1, 2020.
“INTO WSU is a strategically important initiative and is critical to the success of our efforts to internationalize Washington State university in support of our ‘Drive to 25,’” said Vice President of the Office of International Programs Asif Chaudhry. “Laurie has the depth and breadth of knowledge, marketing and management experience, and the demonstrated success in international education that makes her the ideal leader for this position at this challenging time in global education. I am confident that our INTO WSU joint venture will realize its true potential under her leadership.”
Laurie earned her MBA from WSU, and has been part of the WSU family for over 23 years. After starting her career in the Transportation and Parking Office, she quickly transitioned to work in the Registrar’s Office. She moved to the Office of International Programs in 2005 and has helped build International Programs through her work in developing and implementing various study abroad programs. She was most recently Director of International Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment, a unit she proposed, established and led from its inception.
