Professional Development: Monitoring & Evaluation Course Starts Oct. 14

Washington State University’s Monitoring and Evaluation Leadership in Learning Course is designed for current and future professionals eager to learn how monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and learning systems run “on the ground.” Instructor-facilitated over eight weeks, this course is ideal for WSU students, faculty, and staff who have an interest in learning more about M&E for international development projects.

The online course enables participants from diverse locations to access content when and where it is convenient for them. You will learn through a mix of recorded lectures, peer discussions, readings, assignments, and use of mobile data collection software. You can expect to spend an average of four hours each week on content and assignments. The course connects M&E systems to adaptive program management, improves project and organizational performance, and builds a broad set of competencies for leaders seeking durable change in dynamic contexts. Curated examples illustrate how WSU research can use M&E approaches to plan and design for inclusive impact.

To date, the course has reached 74 individuals from 21 different countries and continues to expand its reach. Course alumnae include individuals from higher education, government ministries, international NGOs, bilateral funding agencies including USAID and USDA, BHEARD program, and community development organizations.

The next course offering starts October 14. Register on the course webpage at https://ip.wsu.edu/research/mell.

Registrants within the WSU system can pay using credit card, check, or an IRI.
