PNNL presents Multi-Omics of the Microbiome

Join us on Monday, January 14th at 2:00pm for a presentation from Janet K. Jansson, Ph.D.

Dr. Jansson is the Chief Scientist for Biology in the biological Sciences Division and Laboratory Fellow at the Pacific Norhtwest National Laboratory (PNNL). She has more that 30 years of experience in microbial ecology. Dr. Jansson’s specific expertise is in the use of molecular approaches (omics) to study complex micorbial communities, such as those residing in soil, sediments, and the human gut. Dr. Jansson is currently studying the impact of climate change on microbial communities in prairie and arctic ecosystems, including a focus on the impact of warming on permafrost soil microbiomes and drought on grassland soils.
