Global Learning Programs is hosting a panel, “Everyday South Africans: Living with Race in South Africa,” today from 10 a.m. to noon, with South African writers/activists Lynn Hill, Billy Selekane, and Luke Smit. The panelists, who represent different racial identities (white, black, mixed), will talk about their experience growing up in South Africa and their impressions of and connections to the experiences Trevor Noah relates in Born a Crime, this year’s WSU Common Reading book.
