ITS Notice: Phones may have become unregistered this morning

Early this morning, Information Technology Services (ITS) performed emergency maintenance on critical systems, and this operation may have caused phones to lose their registration to the servers.

If a user’s phone has lost registration, the user should cycle the power on the phone by:

  1. Unplugging the phone
  2. Waiting ten seconds
  3. Plugging it back in again

For Jabber clients:

  1. Exit the program by selecting the gear icon in the upper-right corner
  2. Select “Exit”
  3. Relaunch the program
  4. Log in as normal

If a user’s phone remains unregistered, please contact Crimson Service Desk online, by phone at (509) 335-4357, or via email.
