Master Papermaker Talk (via Zoom), October 9

A talk by guest artist Drew Matott on the Peace Paper Project, a program he is leading this week at the WSU Tri Cities campus, will be available through Zoom from 3:10-4 p.m. on October 9. Remote viewing of the talk will be hosted at Kimbrough 101 by the Common Reading Program. It may also be accessed by PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android at https://wsu.zoom.us/j/812947313 with Meeting ID 812 947 313.

Through this project Matott works with veterans, students of migrant farmworking backgrounds, and others who have dealt with trauma and loss, while also providing an introduction to the art of hand papermaking. The project provides individuals a way to express and process their memories and to preserve artifacts in a physical work of art.  For more information, see https://tricities.wsu.edu/peace-paper-project-provides-therapeutic-outlet-commemoration-for-students/
