Join us in the World’s Largest Earthquake Drill

October 20 at 10:20 a.m, the Office of Emergency Management will be practicing how to Drop, Cover and Hold On. Join us in the Great Washington Shakeout! This is a great way to be prepared to survive and recover quickly from big earthquakes – wherever you live, work or travel.

Everyone can participate! Individuals, families, businesses, schools, government agencies and organizations are all invited. Go to http://www.shakeout.org/washington/index.html to learn how to be ready and register to participate with hundreds of thousands of other Washingtonians. There will be a small display on the 1st floor of the Terrell Library this week providing information on how to register and the importance of being prepared for an earthquake at home and at work.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
