Hispanic Heritage Month

The Chicana/o Latina/o Student Center in partnership with the Office of Equity and Diversity celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, commemorated each year September 15 to October 15, with a series of presentations, film screenings, student organization events, faculty panel, and culminating with the Copacabana Gala Latin Red Carpet Event taking place in Spokane.

The celebration will kick off with a performance by Landrace on September 14th at noon on Todd Steps and September 15th at 3:00 pm in the CUB Junior Ballroom.  Landrace will open for Dr. Victor Villanueva as he presents on the history of Latinos in the U.S.,  with a reception to follow.

Landrace is a band of local Pullman jazz players who came together to put on some heavy live music for dancing and moshing. They currently arrange covers of music from all over the Americas including US, Mexico, Argentina and Chile with an EP on the way.

Come out and enjoy the show, all events are open and free to the public unless otherwise noted.  Schedule of events will be updated soon at http://www.chilatcenter.wsu.edu/hispanic-heritage-month/
